About Otis Spare Parts (OSP)

Hey there! I'm John, and I created the Otis Spare Parts (OSP) application to solve a problem I know all too well. Since joining Otis in March 2000 as a modernization helper, I've worked my way up to a route mechanic, tackling the hands-on challenges of the job for over two decades. Before the OSP app, finding replacement parts was a time-consuming task. If I didn't have a spare part in my vehicle, I'd find myself thumbing through binders of Spare Parts Leaflets (SPLs) or heading back to the office to shuffle through job files.

Frustrated and determined, I worked on creating a solution and in late 2018 I launched the OSP app, a user-friendly tool that simplifies the process of finding Otis parts. What began as a personal solution grew as more field and office colleagues used the application. The OSP app has a practical field-tested design, built with the purpose to quickly deliver results.
